Zinfandels from Redwood Valley have an elegance
and balance not often associated with the varietal.
Hot days and cold nights lengthen the growing
season allowing for a slow maturity of the grape. The
grapes are from the always delicious Chapman
Family Vineyards. 80% Zinfandel and 20% Petite
Sirah. The wine offers aromas of ripe cherry and
raspberry, spicy black pepper, ample soft tannins,
balanced acidity and a long finish.  The wine is aged
in French and American Oak for over 24 months
which integrates the fruit, oak and spice and softens
the tannins.  It is an immediately enjoyable wine that
easily pairs well with many flavorful dishes and
nearly anything grilled over and open flame.
